I collected some of my maxscript tools might be helpful
1:Build_GrassLayerTool.ms Grass layer tool:create a layer mesh based on selected edge and apply uv channels automaticly.I use standard.fx for the shader. You might need change it to your shader.
2:Nodes_RandomTrans.ms Randomize Tool:Align to the selected surface and randomize by position, rotation and scale. It`s all realtime, don“t have to wait.
3:PFlow_ClutterPainting.ms By customized particle flow in a simplified UI, it's easier for artist to do vegetation task.
4:Mesh_ZLightsBaker.ms: This tool help you bake the light distance into vertex color to fake SSS effect in game.
